Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services for a Power transmission project in the state of Gujarat, India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region and the project sites in India, as well as few key contractor locations across India.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing project specific cost control and reporting procedures, estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepare project specific cost control and cost reporting procedures including invoicing.

• Prepare project specific procedures for project scope and non-scope changes (Change management/ trending program).

• Develop and maintain Project Cash flow targets.

• Develops and implements project requirements for cost control in accordance with established Bechtel and client contractual requirements, objectives, and procedures.

• Manages the cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill.

• Analyzes to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.

• Develops and implements project requirements for cost control in accordance with established Bechtel and client contractual requirements, objectives, and procedures.

• Ensures work is completed as scheduled, supporting project organizational and administrative activities.

• Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons.

• Identifies cost trends for management attention and supports resolution.

• Maintains open communications with other organizations to support cost engineering analysis and control activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience of working as PMC or consultant on EPC projects of similar nature OR working with PMC in the role of EPC contractor in large EPC projects.

• Skilled in oral and written communication.

• Regularly interacts and partners with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

• Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.

• Experience of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
