Netflix Production Manager, VFX in Mumbai, India

The Role

Producing quality VFX content at scale, efficiently and with less friction is a challenge that requires fresh thinking. NetFX is an in-house visual effects platform that allows artists and productions to optimize work output on a global scale. This unique division provides streamlined VFX tools and resources to create, connect, and collaborate with productions anywhere in the world. NetFX pairs artist talent from around the world with productions to increase schedule flexibility and offer competitive market rates. People who excel on this team are positive, kind, self-motivated, flexible of thought and able to juggle multiple responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and a drive to problem solve. This is a fast-paced environment and requires someone who is able to exercise good judgment and excellent Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workflow to optimize production schedules

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations for multiple shows to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Manage production expectations and intervene with VFX partners whenever necessary.

  • Must maintain a high level and global overview of the project and its progress.

  • Liaison with VFX partners for technical and creative issues that arise to ensure work stays on

  • schedule

  • Communicate with producers, coordinators, creative and technical leads regarding directives and

  • production requirements of specific projects

  • Work with the pipeline development team to execute and integrate upcoming developments

  • Communicate any delays or overages, escalating any issues to show producers

  • Act as a leader in absence of a producer

  • Participate in client meetings as needed

  • Manage and optimize the team's workload, leaves and work schedules.

  • Collate and maintain the team's performance date for reviews with the producers.

    Experience

  • 7 +years experience working for a VFX Studio/production house

  • Experience in managing a team of Line Producers and Coordinators

  • Leadership and people management skills

  • Excellent project management and client communication skills

  • Experience in managing client relationships and expectations

  • Vendor management experience is a plus

  • Conduct pre, mid and post mortem for shows as relevant.
