Purpose and Scope:

As a Platform Engineer of a team of individuals in a specific area of digital expertise, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution are about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.

An Enterprise Business Platforms Engineer focuses on the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the specific platforms that drive business functions such as Content, Data, and Protection Management, Supplier and Contract Management, Compliance, Risk, and Audit Management, Learning Management and Business Life Cycle. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to support business goals, enhance efficiency, and drive growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Platform Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure business platforms to meet the specific needs of our organization. This could involve programming, configuring settings, and integrating various software solutions.

  2. System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems (e.g., integrating Aravo and ServiceNow systems) to enhance data flow and business processes.

  3. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.

  4. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to platform users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure users can effectively utilize the platforms.

  5. 5 . Initiative Execution : Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.

6 .Collaboration : Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience.) 

  • Minimum 5 experience in technically configuring digital capability and supporting application portfolios. Individual to show competence in at least 2 of the 5 areas:

  • Content, Data, and Protection Management (Corporate Websites, OpenText Content Manager, ControlPoint, OneTrust, etc.)

  • Supplier and Contract Management (ARAVO, MyContract, myBuy, OnSpring (Savings Tracking), Vizibl (Supplier Tool), etc.)

  • Compliance, Risk, and Audit Management (Riskonnect, Klaxon, Auditboard, ECAP - Corestream, Ethics Point, Echo, PWC THUB, Red Flag, Onit, Workshare, etc.)

  • Learning Management (EBSCO, NXLevel, Harvard, etc.)

  • Business Life Cycle (Sigma, Wave, Anaqua, Asana, etc.)

  • Experience with managing landscape (aging infrastructure and software currency), Software Lifecycle Compliance, End of life planning, and contributing to roadmap strategy.

  • Proficiency in relevant tools, languages, and technologies, e.g., SAS, Java, C++, Python, R, SQL is highly beneficial.

  • Knowledge of key business processes and how enterprise platforms and systems support these processes.

  • Demonstrating skills to balance multiple disciplines including development, architecture, and operations.

  • Ability to think innovatively and propose creative solutions to complex technical challenges.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience with Agile methodology and mindset.

  • Work experience across multiple cultures and regions, facilitating effective collaboration in diverse environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical experts. Ability to simplify technical complexities for different audiences. 

  • Demonstrated understanding of global pharmaceutical or healthcare technical delivery, providing exceptional customer service, and enabling strategic insights and decision-making.

Preferred

  • Relevant certifications in tools/platforms of the relevant application portfolio are advantageous.

  • Able to support technical upgrade based on vendor hosted cadence (minor and major upgrade) by conducting technical impact assessment, addressing any technical issues, support the environment management, support testing, and document changes per the SLC process.

  • Support system deliverables and provide technical feedback during internal and external vendor audit.

  • Maintain and report any issues and communicate effectively to all stakeholders during project/enhancement phase, service disruptions, and during the technical upgrade.

  • Other complex and highly regulated industry experience will be considered across diverse areas like Commercial, Manufacturing and Medical.
