Abbott Enterprise Services Tech Lead in Mumbai, India

Job Summary:

As an Enterprise Services Tech Lead the person would be accountable for technical delivery of the integration services for one or more projects / streams of work. The person would contribute to the architecture and design of the services and identifying areas continuous improvement of the integration platform. The person would also be responsible for design for the services delivered in the projects they are directly accountable for, code review of the code done by the team members, identifying fixes for defects identified or reviewing the fixes suggested by the team and documentation of the design and API contracts. They would also be accountable for ensuring maximum reuse of existing services and ensuring reusability of building newer codebase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Design and solution : Technical design and code review for secured, scalable and reliable business solutions.

  • Process Improvement : Partner with business units to participate in lean/process improvement initiatives and enable business transformation.

  • Support & Maintenance : Ongoing application support and major/minor enhancements, application monitoring and cybersecurity

  • SLC Compliance : Technical design documentation and approval.

  • Team Leadership : Lead and manage the consultants from partners, providing guidance and support to ensure effective operations.

  • Audit Support : Ensure application audit and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience : Minimum of 7 years of application development.

  • Skills :

  • 7+ years of experience in building applications, API and microservices in Java, including designing and architecting these solutions.

  • Experience in providing in technical governance.

  • Experience in developing applications and microservices using Springboot.

  • Hand on experience in implementation of REST and SOAP services.

  • Experience in developing and unit testing applications, preferably with TDD, using Spring frameworks (MVC, IOC, Boot, Batch) and ORM frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of integration architectures

  • Exposure to containerization and Kubernetes

  • Exposure to cloud native capabilities, preferably AWS

  • Familiarity with messaging and middleware (e.g. Apache Kafka).

  • Familiarity with build tools like Maven/Gradle and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Harness).

  • Exposure to other technologies like nodejs, frontend JavaScript frameworks and full-stack development in general is a nice to have.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
