Required Qualification

  • B. Tech Fire & Safety from approved college Or

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical with Diploma/PG Diploma industrial safety

Desirable Certifications

  • Qualification in Environment management will be an added advantage

  • NEBOSH and other credential will be an advantage

  • Skilled in computer operation of MS Office and Power point is must

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in QEHS management systems any industrial sector

Functional Responsibilities

  • To support EHS Manager/ Lead in the day today activities.

  • Monitoring the work permits and other activities in campus to ensure safe working.

  • Ensuring the safe construction activities in co-ordination with PMC to ensure accident-free site.

  • Regular inspection of Fire pump room, service block, HSD yard, LPG banks and STP.

  • Conducting risk analysis and ensuring the proper solution to avoid the risk & hazard.

  • Record keeping and documentation of EHS related work.

  • Inspection of machines, lifting tools and other equipment’s to ensure the compliance and safe working.

  • Checking of firefighting and detection system to ensure the proper working.

  • Training to the construction workers and service staff.

  • Ensuring the safety induction of workers in co-ordination with PMC.

  • Ensuring contractor’s safety program.

  • Develop & updating the health & safety standard operating procedures.

OHS Responsibilities

  • Implementation of applicable statutory HSE regulations and industry HSE

  • Company policies and procedures are implemented consistently and well understood by all employees’ standards.

  • Regular inspections and audits as per HSE calendar of activities.

  • Communicate HSE related information from management to all concerned personnel and post.

  • Identification of hazards, opportunities and assessment of risk

  • Safe operating procedures (safe systems of work)

  • Accident/incident, near miss reporting, investigation and CAPA monitoring.

  • Ill-health monitoring (including absenteeism and presentism)

  • Medical First Aider

  • All Safety and Compliances measures/ Steps taken before start at activity.

  • Monitoring Permit to work and safe isolation system

  • BBS Monitoring

  • Co-ordinate all interrelated matters between HSE committee, management committee and line management.

  • Provide HSE training to all levels of employees and sub-contractors as per HSE Training Matrix.

Accountability

  • Accountable to Monitor fire Pump, Fire Panel, diesel Tank, Line pressure as per decided frequency

  • Accountable to report defects of fire protection & firefighting system observed in daily round to his superior

  • Accountable to ensure healthiness of fire protection & firefighting system

  • Accountable to develop health and safety procedure for all areas of the company.

Authority

  • Authorize to stop unsafe practices

  • Authorize to report incidents, Near misses, unsafe conditions to his superior

  • Authority to enforce EHS compliance

  • Authority to recommend to implement control measures

  • Authority to investigate root cause thoroughly of an incident

  • Authority to collaborate with other department to ensure comprehensive approach to EHS management

  • Authority develop & deliver training program on various EHS topics

  • Authority to review HIRA of all activities & suggest changes if require

  • Authority conducts the Health & Safety inspections & Audits.

  • Authority to communicate health & safety communications.
