Oracle Database Solution Architect (Senior Consultant) in MUMBAI, India

Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable; Oracle certifications is preferred.

  • Minimum 6 to 8 + years technical experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools.

  • Customer facing roles with presales / Solution Architect experience is preferred

  • Oracle Experience: Minimum 5 years with Oracle Database and related technology around security, availability, manageability, upgrades, performance, and scalability

  • Expertise in area(s) of focus with ability to demonstrate the most advanced product features eg. RAC, MAA, Data Guard, Security, Enterprise Manager, Oracle Stream, PL/SQL and DB integration solution.

  • Experience with database and associated 3rd party technology and platform would be an added advantage. Eg. Clusterware. Middleware, Security, Availability, and manageability

  • Thorough knowledge of system and application design

  • Strong understanding of other Industry Databases and competitive landscape

  • Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Must be able to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

  • This is field pre sales role, needing work from Oracle Office or customer premise / sites for deep collaborative working with Customers, Sales and larger ecosystems.

Databases: Oracle Database and Database Cloud Services and Open Source Database Services

Infrastructure: Compute, Storage, Networking, Containers, OS/VMWare

Data and AI: Big Data (Big Data, Apache Kafka Service, Data ingestion and ETL, Golden Gate), AI Services (Data Science, LLM, Oracle AI services, Oracle Machine Learning), Messaging (Streaming, Queuing)

Analytics: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Data Integrator/Integration

Developer service: Low Code (APEX)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong technical and hands-on skills in the area(s) of database and Data Management

  • Develop and deliver impactful Oracle presentations and demonstrations with the goal of generating customer interest and demand

  • Become a trusted adviser by sharing best practices on database management, database upgrades, and optimization to external clients.

  • Focus on large or complex sales opportunities requiring creative and complex solutions

  • Keep current and updated on latest Oracle software releases and future directions, as well as competitive intelligence.

  • Demonstrate understanding of technical aspects of the sales process and can lead customer engagements through the technical sales process

  • Ensure that key decisions and strategies are understood by stakeholders.

  • Actively participate in organizational skill exchanges and transfers expertise to others

  • Demonstrate Corporate Citizenship by working with Oracle University, Product Management, and other organizations within Oracle

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
