Job Description
Communications, Reporting & Analysis (CRA) is part of Citi’s COO Controls organization, which supports the Enterprise by creating and implementing methodologies to measure and escalate Operational Risk. The team develops and maintains reports and tools and is responsible for leading projects and automation efforts to lead and deliver transformational efforts across the firm.
The individual in this role will report to the Controls Report Development & Support Lead. The team is responsible for the management, oversight, and implementation of global projects that enhance Citi’s ability to proactively detect, measure and manage Operational Risk and other functions as needed. This role requires an individual with strong experience building BI solutions and a desire to work in a fast pace, agile and dynamic environment where priorities and expectations change.
K ey Responsibility Overview:
The person in this role will be responsible for the design and development of Operational and Compliance Risk dashboards to support Regulatory and Executive-level reporting. They will be responsible for interfacing with business analysts to understand reporting requirements, identify data sources, scripting and coding within Tableau and interfacing with end-users and leadership to meet reporting objectives. Post build activities include: Data Management, Data Source Uploads, Interface with Technology for SDLC Deployment, and Providing Support to End-Users when needed. They must be able to influence in/out of their direct span of control, including local management and senior leaders across multiple functional disciplines.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Develop, maintain and produce clear and concise executive-level reporting which allow end users to easily interpret analysis findings to make critical business decisions
Manage complex processes and reporting streams
Partner with data owners to create systemic connections to Operational and Compliance Risk datasets
Identify data patterns and trends to examine past business and control performance
Develop forward-looking reporting to help management anticipate and prepare for future events
Implement strong internal controls over reporting lifecycle to ensure accuracy, on-time delivery, and audit-readiness
Engage with cross-business and Line of Defense stakeholders to deliver on projects/initiatives and ensure reporting strategies are consistent
Manage timelines and deliverables independently with limited supervision
Translate data and analysis clearly and concisely in order to be able to clearly communicate findings and recommended actions to senior leadership teams
Engage with Technology partners to manage SDLC process and oversee technology implementations
Develop and Manage Adoption Strategies to ensure ROI with dashboard deployment
Provide transparency to leadership through regular updates
Ensure Project plans, implementations, and new builds are Audit-Ready
Evaluate efficiency of existing reports and drive continuous improvements
Job Skills/Qualifications
7+ years of experience in reporting development with proven experience building Tableau dashboards
Demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts
Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to comprehend the big pictures with high attention to critical details
Proven ability to execute against business requirements and coordinate with technology on release efforts
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives
Knowledge of Operational Risk & Control environment
Experience in Statistical Software / SAS, R, Hadoop, a plus
Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and continuous improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform under pressure
Ability to function independently
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
