The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution.
Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products.
Primary Responsibilities
This role directly supports the EMEA/NY Interest Rate Sales desk. The role includes trade booking & processing for interest rate swaps, swaptions and cash trades as well as identifying amendments with the trading desk, resolving disputes with downstream operational teams and systems, and liaising with trade settlement and confirmation teams when needed. Candidate will work very closely with the team in EMEA/NY and must be able to work in NY market hours. The candidate should be a clear communicator who works well under time pressure, can manage multiple priorities and is comfortable raising issues for escalation.
Required Competencies
Candidate must have previous experience in a sales or trading support role for Interest Rate Derivatives. Experience desired in OTC Derivative trade capture and trade booking. Derivatives settlements, confirmations or OTC clearing experience might be considered as well. Familiarity with DTCC or Markitwire is a plus but not required.
Skills required:
• Extremely diligent with strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle stress and pressure of fast markets
• Must be self-motivated, confident and possess excellent communication skills
• Established understanding of derivative product mechanics
• Excel / VBA for spreadsheet analysis work
