Institutional Credit Management’s (“ICM”) objective is to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. Institutional Client Group (ICG) In-Business Quality Assurance is an integral part of the ICM organization.

In this role, you’re expected to:

The ICM In-Business Quality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied. Senior Management uses the results of the quality assurance reviews to assess the quality of the group's policies, procedures, programs, and practices as relates to the management of wholesale credit risk. The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with the function, training needs, and process deficiencies.

The ICM In-Business Quality Assurance Senior Officer executes and participates on the Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs), providing feedback, insight, and observations on any deficiency and areas of improvement, engaging with the management of the respective ICG business area, Independent Risk, and critical partner stakeholders and regulators.

This role reports to the ICM Head of In-Business Quality Assurance Head of Data Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the In-Business Quality Assurance Head of Data Analytics in implementation and ongoing delivery of a robust Data analytics infrastructure

  • Lead data discovery for various functional streams in IBQA, identify reliable data sources and data elements, identify data gaps and manage resolutions with data/tech/business teams, develop scalable data model design, lead pipeline development, in case of data gaps, identify alternate data source. Create data warehouse which enables the IBQA team to query and clean complex datasets from multiple sources, to funnel into advanced statistical analysis.

  • Collaborate across teams on the design and maintenance of our Operations data mart (ETL, data modeling, metric design, reporting/dashboarding) to assure a stable reporting infrastructure.

  • Lead investigations streams of content usage and A/B testing

  • Take on research projects to improve data processing and any implemented machine learning frameworks used by our team.

  • Be exemplary in promoting Data Engineering best practices within the team.

  • Introduce new skills and knowledge into the team adding to the already dynamic environment our Data Engineering team has created.

  • Share knowledge to compliment team-wide expertise.

  • Assist with the elicitation and documentation of system requirements.

  • Understand business and technical requirements and constraints to design effective data solutions.

  • Create conceptual architectures and detailed designs for data solutions.

  • Hands-on experience in designing, planning, prototyping, productionizing, deploying, maintaining, and documenting reliable and scalable data solution.

  • Develop data governance processes and tools to monitor data accuracy.

  • Provide oversight and guidance over the assessment of complex data related issues, structure potential solutions and drive effective resolution with stakeholders.

  • Travel (less than 10%)

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Analytics and Business:

  • Demonstrable experience of at least 8-10 years in stored Procedures, Common Table Expressions, Window Functions, Partitioning and other advanced RDBMS tasks

  • Solid understanding of ETL concepts and workflows

  • Willing and interested to work in new areas and across multiple platforms such as MSSQL, Python, PySpark, Kafka etc.

  • Continuous learning and improvement mindset.

  • Proven culture carrier

Competencies:

  • Solid organizational skills with ability and willingness to work under pressure and manages time and priorities effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority.

  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

  • Experience in analysing datasets and distilling them into actionable information as well as building out end-to-end analytical process flows.

  • Understanding of process redesign / re-engineering and execution

  • Experience in preparing presentations for seniors.

Technical:

  • Coding knowledge and experience with at least two programming languages (C++, Python, Java, R, etc.).

  • Proven experience of CICD/Agile collaborative working.

  • Experience in Big data integration (you have worked with TBs of data before), HiveQL, DataIKU, Hadoop, MapReduce, REST API Denodo or Datameer.

  • Experience with deep learning framework PyTorch strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maths, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.

  • Skills : SQL, Python, Code reviews, Build processes, Operations, Testing, Spark, Message queuing, Stream processing

  • Coding standards Visualisation: Tableau; Qlikview; MS Power BI.

  • Programming language: Python, Java, C++.

  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
