Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Own and drive forward specific areas of technology architecture, design, governance and COE.

• Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.

• Work on finalizing functional requirements and co-deliver with Application team to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.

• Develop Proof-of-Concept and demo part of pre-sales and on-going project implementation.

• Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.

• Support Customer implements for resolving technical roadblocks and risks. Mentor and guide project team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 5+ years as an Architect with proven expertise in large implementations specifically in Banking and Finance Domain.

• Expertise in Architect, design, and present multi-product solutions to customers.

• Experience in Architecture, Design, Build and Operationalize On Premises, AWS, Azure , Kubernetes or Redhat OpenShift environment

• In-depth knowledge of best practices around developing micro services architectures, event driven architecture, the software containerization technology and platform.

• Experience working with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure , Oracle Cloud and hybrid cloud environment.

• Experience in application development using Java Springboot, Java 21 integrating with Kubernetes or OpenShift.

• Experience in event driven transaction processing using EAI and messaging patterns using technologies such as IBM cloud Pack - App connect, API connect , Event stream / Kafka, MQ or Cloud integration services.

• Experiences working on middleware such as JBOSS.

• Experience in security integration using oAuth/ mTLS and LDAP

• Experience with container deployment and security.

• Knowledge on databases , optimizations and CDC with SQL server/Oracle/Couchbase.

• Knowledge on devops pipelines and implementations

• Support the pre-sales team in the delivery and implementation

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge on front end javascript tools ( React JS, Vue .JS etc).

• Experience in configuration management, infrastructure, and application deployments in a toolset such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible.

• Knowledge on application DC - DR movement.
