BlackRock Aladdin Business, Transformations – General Manager in Mumbai, India

Aladdin® is an operating system for investment managers that seeks to connect the information, people, and technology needed to manage money in real time. The Aladdin platform combines risk analytics with portfolio management, trading, compliance, and investment operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making, effective risk management, efficient trading, and operational scale. Aladdin is used by a community of over 200 institutional clients around the world, including BlackRock. There are over 100,000 end users of Aladdin globally. The team is comprised of 1500+ professionals responsible for implementing and supporting our Aladdin clients, sales and marketing, and ensuring the Aladdin Community maximizes Aladdin products through engagement and education.

We are seeking a dynamic candidate with a proven track record in investment platform implementation and client management to join our Aladdin Client Transformations (ACT) team. The role is pivotal in building and expanding the ACT team in India across practices (functional verticals) from Risk and Portfolio management, Investment Operations to Accounting. The individual will work closely with our internal partner teams as well as clients to implement Aladdin at scale.

Key responsibilities

· Lead the Aladdin Client Transformations (ACT) team in India

· Manage the team and ensure timely completion of activities

· Own the onboarding of new hires – ensure appropriate training materials and support is available

· Work closely with individuals in the team on their objectives and career paths

· Act as a senior advisor and help the team on both client management and implementation activities

· Coordinate with practice and delivery leads (Program managers) on implementation staffing

· Work closely with practice leads to identify and implement scale initiatives and cross-practice synergies

· Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders for smooth BAU operations

· Foster a culture of innovation by leading strategic initiatives and encouraging contributions from others in the team

Required Skills and Experience

· 8+ years of work experience in the financial services industry

· Working understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative markets, and analytics

· Strong industry knowledge and can speak to market issues, trends and regulatory needs

· Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients

· Experience advising and engaging with clients

· Self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and works well as part of a multi-disciplinary global team but also has the ability to take initiative and work independently

· Prior people manager/leadership experience

· Business Analyst and/or Project management experience

· Experience with SQL, UNIX, VBA , C++, PERL or similar tools, and/or Aladdin
