Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager in Multiple Locations, United States

As part of the Azure OneFleet Platform and Provisioning team, you will work on software infrastructure that powers millions of servers in datacenters around the globe and enables our 1st and 3rd party customers to run planet-scale services.

As a Technical Program Manager on this team you will work with multiple internal customer teams to understand their workloads and help them take advantage of Azure offerings to improve their delivery and reduce their cost of ownership. This opportunity will allow you to get broad exposure to the Microsoft businesses, hone your collaboration skills, and gain technical understanding of how the cloud runs. Responsibilities

  • You will work with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.

  • You’ll define success criteria as you collaborate with others to implement features for cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across teams.

  • With minimal supervision, you will help deliver on roadmap for feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation, and stay updated with governance programs.

  • You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and partnering with other departments to collect performance metrics.

  • You’ll also contribute to customer support and participate in direct customer engagements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degreeo OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 1+ year(s) experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,

  • OR product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
