The Global Industry Marketing team is looking for a creative technical product marketing professional with high energy, passion, strategic technical outlook, and attention to detail to lead product marketing for the Energy business. The Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager, Energy Industry will work across the organization together with a passionate group of Energy leaders and stakeholders. They will connect with customers and partners to grow our business by meeting the needs of the market and our customers.
The Senior Technical Product Marketer, Energy Industry team at Microsoft plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical complexities and marketing strategies. They translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms for clients and stakeholders, create technical product content such as white papers, product manuals, demonstration videos, competitive analysis, FAQs, and blog posts. Additionally, they present technical and marketing information to customers, partners, and internal teams, gather customer feedback to share with internal teams for product improvement, and stay informed about industry trends and competitor products. They also manage and participate in product launches, support the sales team by providing technical expertise during customer meetings, train the sales team and partners on the technical aspects of the product, and develop and implement marketing strategies for technical products.

Responsibilities
Work in close partnership with stakeholders across Marketing, Engineering, Sales and Partners to develop compelling technical and business value propositions and creative ways to effectively communicate them to technical audiences in the Energy industry.
Work in close partnership with stakeholders across Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Business Development to develop segment-specific critical technology partnerships. Orchestrate the adoption of technology and solutions built as part of these partnerships to drive the adoption of AI in the Energy industry.
Engage with engineering teams to understand the technical aspects of the product, provide market insights, and relay customer feedback to help align the product development with market needs and customer expectations. Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions via Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) and Partner Advisory Councils (PACs) to ensure that the engineering team is aware of the latest industry trends and competitive landscape.
Create and land the technical elements of sales enablement and marketing content, ensuring that these materials are accurate, engaging, and aligned with the product's technical specifications. This may involve developing comprehensive resources such as technical guides, product demonstrations, and training materials that can be utilized by sales teams and partners. Support the delivery of this content across all channels, including online platforms, events, and direct interactions with sales teams and partners.
Develop compelling technical stories and narratives that showcase winning customer experiences and turn them into technical industry thought leadership. This involves gathering and analyzing customer success stories to highlight how Microsoft and partner product has solved real-world problems and delivered significant value.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
OR equivalent experience.
Experience in the energy industry
Demonstrated Technical Product Marketing experience
Proven experience working in an enterprise environment at scale
Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
