The Microsoft Threat Protection (MTP) team is responsible for delivering cybersecurity services and solutions to meet the challenges of the continually evolving security and threat landscape and includes the suite of Microsoft Defender products that today protect billions of users and devices across enterprises, governments, and consumers around the world. We’re looking for a skilled and dynamic Compliance PM to be responsible for compliance governance, processes, education, and assessments of MTP products and services as part of our skilled Privacy and Compliance team. This role will involve working closely with engineering & product teams to ensure all compliance needs and requirements are successfully met.

Responsibilities –
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical compliance and privacy program manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant privacy and data protection regulations. This role involves managing compliance programs, conducting privacy reviews, and collaborating with various departments to ensure our products and services meet the highest standards of privacy and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs to ensure adherence to privacy and data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant laws.
Conduct privacy reviews on new features during the development stage to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Create and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to privacy and data protection.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on privacy and compliance best practices.
Monitor and report on compliance and privacy metrics, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Manage and conduct complex and in-depth investigations of compliance/privacy incidents.
Qualifications
Qualifications Required –
1.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, or equivalent job experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a compliance or privacy role, preferably in a technology company.
Strong understanding of global privacy regulations and standards, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
Certification in privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) is required.
Experience with compliance management tools and software is a plus.
Qualifications: Other Requirements –
Experience in conducting privacy reviews and managing compliance programs in a technology environment.
Knowledge of data protection and privacy best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
