Microsoft Corporation Cloud Solution Architect (Data & AI) in Multiple Locations, Spain

Are you passionate about driving customer transformation on Microsoft Azure? As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) specialising in Data & Analytics, you will own the technical relationship between our customers and Microsoft as you act as catalyst for the adoption and consumption of our solutions. In this customer-facing role, you will engage with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation as you design and implement scalable cloud architectures, and ensure the operational health of their environments.

Responsibilities

As the connection between Microsoft and our customers, you will be frequently interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using your technical expertise to enable them to find business value from our solutions. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding customers overall data estate, business and IT priorities, and success measures to design Data & Analytics solutions that drive business value.

  • Driving positive customer satisfaction and becoming a trusted advisor.

  • Ensuring that our solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.

  • Developing opportunities to drive customer success, business results and help customers get value from their Microsoft investments.

  • Applying technical knowledge to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create Data & Analytics roadmaps, drive POCs and MVPs, and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key AI technologies

  • Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.

  • Maintaining technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborating and sharing with the AI technical community while educating customers on Azure platform.

Qualifications

  • Deep domain expertise in one of the data-specific areas, such as Azure SQL Data (IaaS/PaaS), deployments and migrations to the cloud, Open-source database deployments and migrations, Cloud Scale Analytics, Data Governance, etc. OR hands-on experience working with the respective products at the expert level.

  • Experience creating Data & Analytics Proof of Concepts (PoC) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for customers that lead to production deployments.

  • Experience interacting with both technical and non-technical customers on a frequent basis

  • Knowledge of key Data & Analytics platforms such as AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc.

  • Familiarity with software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e., Jenkins, Azure Developer Services, GitHub) and container orchestration systems (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Azure Kubernetes Service, GitHub).

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field OR equivalent experience.

You will need to be fluent in English and Spanish, and able to use both in a business environment.
