Microsoft Corporation Cloud Architect Engineer - Identity and Security in Multiple Locations, Germany

The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization is leading the effort to create the desired customer experience through support offer creation, driving digital transformation across our tools, and delivering operational excellence across CE&S.

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will enable customers to achieve their outcomes, based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your Microsoft Identity and Security technical subject matter expertise on AD, ADFS, and Entra ID, you will lead technical conversations with customers to drive value from their MS investments, including identifying resolutions to issues blocking customer success projects.

Onsite presence at customers is frequently required. But often customer work can also be done from home.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with business and technical decision makers to drive intent, enablement, and usage of customer-owned Microsoft Identity and Security Solutions. Identify resolutions to issues blocking customer success projects.

  • Articulate, demo, and present complex customer concepts to varying audiences, such as BDMs (Business Decision Makers) & ITDMs (Information Technology Decision Makers). Be the Microsoft Identity and Security subject matter expert with the ability to design customer solutions, lead presentations, demonstrations, and design thinking workshops.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy are required

  • Candidates with good knowledge of either AD CS (PKI), MIM or ADFS are preferred.

  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 Defender Suite, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, IaaS, Network Security, Data Security is preferred.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role in information technology (IT)

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Fluency in both written and verbal English & German languages is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with strong knowledge of either AD CS (PKI) or MIM are preferred.

  • Familiarity and certification with other Microsoft technologies, such as Entra ID, Sentinel and Defender
