Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the chemicals manufacturing industry, based in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. As a Staff Accountant, you will be primarily engaged in handling the accounts payable and payroll processes, working with Sage MAS90 ERP system, and supporting the general accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive efficiency in accounts payable by updating vendor banking information in the Sage MAS90 ERP system.

• Automate ACH payment processing to streamline operations and ensure accurate mass uploads.

• Collaborate with vendors to gather and validate banking details.

• Optimize AP workflows to enhance productivity and eliminate any inefficiencies.

• Facilitate payroll automation in ADP to reduce duplication of efforts.

• Manage and update General Ledger (GL) accounts in the ADP database.

• Contribute to upgrading Sage MAS90 from Version 11 to Version 18 or 19.

• Collaborate with the in-house IT team and an external consultant to ensure a smooth ERP upgrade.

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects, including GL maintenance and other accounting tasks as required.

• Carry out detailed bank account reconciliation and maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the Chemicals Manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and management.

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and oversight.

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries.

• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks with accuracy and timeliness.

• Knowledge of Sage MAS 90 accounting software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

• Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate financial records.
