Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will support production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery, including mechanical and electrical equipment. You will be responsible for the upkeep of industrial machinery, working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires a versatile individual who can efficiently handle a variety of equipment, performing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.
Responsibilities
Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements on motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines.
Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions and comply with NEC standards on wiring and installations.
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring tools.
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment.
Control downtime by informing production team members of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
Optimize maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling corrections of abnormalities.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Essential Skills
Certificate or diploma in a related field
Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus
Experience with industrial maintenance; corrective/breakdown experience preferred
Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures
Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented
Ability to learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems
Positive 'can-do' attitude
Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations
Flexible schedule, willing to work rotation shifts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficient in using VOM, Oscilloscope, IR Temperature Probe, Multimeter, Megger, DC & AC Amperage Clamp Meter, and general tools
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical and electrical prints
Ability to troubleshoot AC drives, DC drives, servo drives, PLC, HMI, close loop control systems, AC, DC, and servo motors
Machinist and mechanic skills including drill, grinder, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, vacuum pumps, lubrication systems, lathe, and mill
Previous working experience as a Maintenance Technician for 5 years
High school diploma
Advanced understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
In-depth knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Applicable knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
Manual dexterity and attention to detail
Problem-solving aptitude
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00
