Job Description:
This is an onsite position, with the potential for hybrid work in the future.
Responsible for accurate and timely assignment of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCs codes as appropriate to assure compliance with all state and federal rules/regulations and ethical standards as established by AHIMA. Understands and assists with functions within the Health Information Department in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws/regulations, accreditation agency standards, and GRMC rules and regulations.
This position will also be responsible for all Release of Information (ROI) requests.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years experience in facility coding preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Computer experience required
3M encoder experience preferred
High School diploma or GED required
HIM degree from accredited college preferred or RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC
