Description

Our client, a personal injury law firm located in Mountainside, NJ, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join the legal team. The firm's practice areas are personal injury, auto accidents, criminal, medical malpractice, slip and fall, and workers compensation.

Schedule: In Office - 5 days/week

Salary: $100,000-155,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from initial intake through resolution. This includes conducting client interviews, gathering evidence, and preparing cases for trial or settlement.

  • Provide effective legal representation to clients in personal injury matters. Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement demands. Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies. Develop and implement effective legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.

  • Negotiate with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties to reach favorable settlements. Evaluate settlement offers and provide counsel on whether to accept or pursue litigation.

  • Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, drafting trial briefs, and preparing witnesses. Present cases effectively in court and advocate strongly on behalf of clients.

  • Ensure all legal documents and filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain detailed case files and documentation.

  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient case management and client service.

    Requirements

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Attorney with at least 10 trials experience

Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or can waive in.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective case strategies. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and communication skills.

In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, including federal and state statutes, case law, and legal procedures.
