We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End or Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team to deliver solutions to challenging problems by fusing generative AI with search and user experiences. Your role will involve the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable and performant web application and its underlying framework.

Responsibilities

Partner with product and engineering teams to invent and deliver on the future for Bing search.

You will need to

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following best practices and coding standards.

  • Analyze and dive deep into data to uncover insights and drive data-informed decisions.

  • Collaborate and work across multiple disciplines to deliver innovation.

  • Contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.

  • Implement the components and features necessary, ensuring they align with our overall goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, JavaScript, C++, C or Python

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, JavaScript, C++, C or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Excellent design, development, and testing skills

  • Problem solver with advanced troubleshooting skills.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
