Microsoft Corporation Business Administrator in Mountain View, California

As a Business Administrator, you will act as the onsite contact for the Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus (SVC) Bing office, providing team support, space management, event coordination, and point of contact for business operations and ordering and maintaining supplies for the team. You will also provide calendar, travel, and expense report management for an executive, as well as execute cross-functional special projects. This is a flexible work opportunity with partial (up to 50%) work from home offered.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide calendar and time planning support for managers, and may manage community space calendars. You’ll also provide travel arrangements and may create itineraries for daily activities.You will begin to develop strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple organizations.

  • You will support the planning and coordination of events, as well as help determine other event needs. You’ll also carry out various projects and tasks with little to no supervision.

  • You will oversee inventory management and participate in discretionary budget tracking and reporting. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of rhythm of business (ROB).

  • You will maintain up-to-date space-management processes and team spaces, using data to recommend changes and identify future requirements.

  • You will onboard and assist new employees, vendors, and interns as an essential contact for questions and onboarding logistics (e.g., ordering new-hire equipment, setting up workstations, distribution lists, security groups).

  • You will liaise with Business Managers and/or Chief of Staffs on headcount management activities, including managing transfers, reporting, offboarding, and transactions within headcount management tools.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years Administrative, Business Support, and/or customer service experience

  • OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • 3+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work

  • 1+ year(s) experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training)

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Associate's/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)

Business Support ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $23.56 - $41.68 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $34.71 - $48.22 per hour.
