PACCAR Inc. Vehicle Test Fleet and Materials Coordinator in Mount Vernon, Washington
Requisition Summary PACCAR Technical Center is seeking a motivated Vehicle Test Fleet and Materials Coordinator to join the Engine Production Compliance team to support test article procurement for Compliance testing. In this role, you will have a vital position within our team, collaborating closely with test engineers to identify and acquire test articles. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our fleet of test trucks, engines, engine aftertreatment systems (EAS), and related components. Job Functions / Responsibilities Research and support acquisition of test articles and materials Conduct inspection and summarize inspection results/findings for leadership approval Identify parts and work with dealership/customer to schedule truck for repair Negotiate incentives (downtime and warranty coverage) with dealership/customers Coordinate with customers, dealerships, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of test articles at testing location Develop and manage budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses related to vehicle acquisition, parts, labor, fuel and incentives schedules Manage the day-to-day operations of our test articles, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal Maintain accurate records to manage inventory and exemptions Draft purchase orders. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve overall inventory performance Ability to travel, up to 6 weeks a year, both domestic and international Qualifications Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office proficiency required Excellent communication and negotiation skills, sales and negotiation experience a plus Heavy duty trucks/diesel engine experience a plus Experience with off board diagnostic tools preferred Interested in working in a dynamic organization Demonstrated curiosity and ability to self-teach Team player that is self-motivated with the ability to manage personal workload and schedule Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Education Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, business administration, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
