Summary
Maintain, service, and perform repairs on equipment in order to ensure proper operation of production equipment and electrical systems.
Schedule: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays
Benefits
This position has a target wage of $24.52 per hour, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and understand manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets, and safety policies
Perform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdown repairs
Perform specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations
Monitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisors of potential issues
Maintain log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standards
Provide "hands on" training and direction to lower level mechanics and techs in properly servicing, repairing and maintaining the equipment operated by the Company
Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and process Safety Management related matters
Minimum Education
- High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements
2 - 4 years of experience in maintenance
Reading, writing, and analytical skills are required
Must have all personal tools at all times and be able to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is active. On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine
May need to move equipment occasionally
May need to access files, supplies, and equipment
Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
Exposure to extreme temperatures (28 - 100 degrees Fahrenheit)
Humidity (0-100%)
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Noise (50db. - 110db.)
May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in a poultry processing facility
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
Able to stand for several hours
Work may include lifting (up to 50lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly
