Novitex Supervisor in Mount Vernon, Kentucky

About the Role:

As a Senior Supervisor in Production, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and accurate performance in accordance with client expectations. Collaborating closely with the Production Manager (or Operations Manager), you will administer, develop, and uphold the security, integrity, and performance standards of the department.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects, troubleshoot issues, and maintain regular communication with clients to address their needs and concerns.
  • Continuously evaluate processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and recommend enhancement plans to the Operations Manager.
  • Occasionally perform production tasks to meet client demands and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate in operations meetings, providing input and insights to optimize departmental performance and client satisfaction.
  • Generate, reconcile, and review reports as requested by clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Establish employee goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and counseling to enhance productivity and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and adjust staff attendance, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to scheduling requirements.
  • Process and submit payroll information for the department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing.
  • Monitor productivity, quality control, and training reports, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain performance standards.
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by management to support departmental goals and objectives.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a team lead role, with 3-5 years of production or manufacturing experience.
  • Preferably 1-3 years of imaging experience and familiarity with related processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and effectively, with a focus on achieving departmental goals.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting containers weighing 20-50 pounds, and working flexible hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and on-call status.
