THE POSITION
PLT Final Finish Set up Technician
Setup adjust Final Finish equipment to include, but not limited to, TUO, Micro-poise, Balance Grinders, Conicity Grinders, SOL, Geometry, Gantry controls, etc.
Setup, detect, and adjust and correct equipment using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic knowledge, of TUO, bouncers, sheet of light and geometry.
Make all necessary setups and adjustments following company standards.
Observe and make necessary machinery adjustments to assure continuous operations. Supervise the first tire/tires run following a setup or adjustments and approve for production.
React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary condition, and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur.
Responsible for ensuring correct entry and recording of their labor time.
Perform all work indicated, required, or assigned by supervision related to high machine efficiency and high quality production.
Follow standard practices and instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department Manager.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is not able to offer visa support
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree
