IT SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT, I/II/III/SR

Position Summary:

The IT Solutions Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of IT solutions. Solutions include projects and products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services. The IT Solutions Architect will understand the concepts of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams and business processes and their importance in solution architecture. They will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. They display intellectual curiosity and integrity and are able to work effectively in a cross-functional team. The IT Solutions Architect is a trusted and respected thought leader who remains unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor to ensure the best options to achieve long-term business outcomes. They create deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions --- including systems (applications, processes, information, and technology), and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes. 

Required Qualifications:

IT Solutions Architect I: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study. Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments. Understanding of IT standards and controls. Industry experience in applying application development methodologies and system architecture. Proven analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM ) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL ). Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences. Skilled at understanding the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Effective interpersonal skills to work creatively and analytically for solving business problems and propose solutions. Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. IT Solutions Architect II: IT Solutions Architect I skills plus: Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models. Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt. IT Solutions Architect III : IT Solutions Architect II skills plus: Ability to propose and estimate the financial and resource impacts of solution architecture alternatives, working with appliable teams. Proficient in translating future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements. Minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development IT Solutions Architect Sr: IT Solutions Architect III skills plus: Apt at quickly comprehending the functions and capabilities of new technologies
