Overhead Door Corporation Financial Analyst in Mount Hope, Ohio

Wayne-Dalton, a premier garage door manufacturer, is seeking a Plant Financial Analyst for our Mt. Hope, OH location. This position is responsible for supporting management in all aspects of financial reporting and performance related topics with a primary focus on sales and overhead reporting. A successful plant financial analyst would be a key business partner to the manufacturing management team. In addition, this role will be responsible to prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, support capitalization of fixed assets, and assist with forecasting and budgeting relating to sales and overhead.Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Engineering

Preferred:

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel)
  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience
  • Ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Assists in the development of operating budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Creates and maintains analyses to support operations, including sales and operations metrics.
  • Monthly Reporting of Budget vs. Actual - partner with the Plant Management team to understand where variances exist and how they can be remedied.
  • Actively participates in daily operations meetings.
  • Maintains effective internal controls to ensure protection of assets and an accurate reporting of depreciation expenses.
  • Support plant related topics (e.g. Physical Inventory, accruals, warranty claims, IC billing of project cost, evaluation of other financial topics, etc.)
