The Structural Heart and Aortic integrated operating unit offers minimally invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart and the aorta. We focus on the transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valves—aortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspid—and the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the body’s largest artery, the aorta.

In this exciting role as Clinical Studies Support Coordinator III, you will be supporting Medtronic’s Structural Heart Clinical Research organization as an individual contributor who provides organizational related support or service for other members within the organization. The majority of time is spent in the delivery of support in one or more of the following areas:

• Document coordination - creates and manages the clinical study files and oversees the organization and distribution of clinical study documents.

• Assists with periodic audits of clinical study files for completeness and accuracy

• Ensures timely and quality verification of study data, and generates, manages and resolves data discrepancies as directed by study team

• Process compensation & identify and resolve compensation discrepancies

• Coordinate and contribute to ongoing, timely and consistent communication with team members and external customers

• Maintains general knowledge and application of industry practices, regulations, and standards

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Provide project/program coordination and support to SH Clinical team.

• Maintain study-specific correspondence and other required documentation.

• Assist/coordinate in the organization and distribution of study documentation.

• May assist in study tracking activities, such as start-up progress by ensuring receipt of proper study documentation, agreements, EC/IRB approvals, etc.

• Perform quality checks on documents/forms for completeness and compliance.

• Attend study team meetings, taking notes on discussion points and action items-ensuring proper follow through.

• Support, monitor, and analyze daily projects and contracts using available study tracking platforms, e.g. CTMS.

• Support the creation, and maintenance of metrics and dashboards on an ongoing basis.

• Identifies issues in study documentation, recommends alternatives and executes an alternative when appropriate.

• Support process improvements efforts to enhance systems and reduce lead time.

• Support processing of invoices & identify and resolve compensation discrepancies.

• Solve problems of moderate scope and complexity following established policies and procedures

• Complete tasks under limited supervision.

Must Have (Minimum Requirements):

To be considered for this role, the minimum requirements must be evident on your resume.

• High School Diploma

• Minimum of 4 years of administrative and/or project experience

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Experience in clinical study or related experience

• Clinical research/study coordination experience at Medtronic or medical device industry

• Knowledge of SH&A products/therapies

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Basic knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials

• Experience working with electronic data collection platforms, e.g. Medidata RAVE, Oracle/Clinical

• Proficiency in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word, MS Teams, VisionTracker, project management techniques and tools; and web-based application

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$52,400.00 - $78,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
