In this position, you will provide technical support across multi-functional teams that execute multiple workstreams focusing on modularity and commonality for Load and Haul Products which include Large Wheel Loaders, Articulated Trucks, Hard Rock Vehicles(Underground), and Wheel Tractor-Scrapers. You will play a key role in the technical direction of the Engine and Engine attachment workstreams for project Convergence with a keen eye on Quality, Time, and Cost (Investments and Benefits). This role will be expected to work across multiple workstreams at the same time and collaborate with all four Load and Haul product teams. You will be responsible for identifying and finding improvement opportunities in this space that exist across each of the different products, designs, and processes and then executing strategies to address them. You will develop design concepts and execute system integration activities across the Load and Haul products by bringing complex components, subsystems, and processes together in a seamless fashion.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Convergence Project

  • Manage design and system integration of new components, systems and manufacturing processes

  • Brainstorm new ideas, perform technical analysis, and develop solutions

  • Evaluate new products, processes, or systems, and execute improvements

  • Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies

  • Communicate technical information to customers, team members, suppliers, and other business units

  • Support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers

Degree Requirement:

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum

• Trains others on most components of engineering as related to manufacturing.

• Guides others on the application of manufacturing industry and organizational best engineering practices and explains their rationale.

• Facilitates the integration of engineering systems and applications for a manufacturing organization.

• Advises others on the key benefits, drawbacks and rationale for engineering standards, policies and practices.

• Monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and improves engineering operations performance.

• Works with various complex engineering operations in a manufacturing environment.

Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Promotes the use of advanced methods and tools in product design.

• Establishes new product development strategies and policies for the organization.

• Oversees complicated product design projects across multi-functions.

• Constructs design standards to unify operations in the manufacturing industry.

• Develops and maintains partnerships with external professional teams to optimize the product design structure.

• Develops organizational best practices for the management of product design.

The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL (AC)
