Confidential Employer CNC Machinist in Morton, Pennsylvania
Philadelphia area railroad manufacturer is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Machinist.
UTCRAS is a leader in the manufacturing of wheels, axles, and gearboxes for the railroad industry. We are based out of Morton, PA (10-15 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport located in Delaware County).
The selected Machinist will be responsible for the operation of various machines including CNC-programmed machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
Primary duties & Responsibilities:
· Operates machinery to support the production of axles and wheels for rail vehicles.
· Provide feedback to management to increase efficiency and productivity.
· Be a team player and support the team environment amongst the Machine Shop staff and assist wherever is necessary.
· Follow production schedules to meet customer requirements.
· Complete and maintain documentation in accordance with industry standards and as set forth by your manager.
Requirements:
· Previous experience working on CNC operated machines is required.
· Must be able to use/read ID mics, OD mics, and other measuring equipment.
· Able to communicate and work effectively with peers and Machine Shop Supervisor.
· Willingness to work overtime on an as needed basis.
· The ability to do minor edits of CNC Programming at the control is considered a plus.
· Relevant education may be considered in lieu of meeting the work experience minimum listed above.
