Administrative Assistant

families in making ends meet, building stronger families, creating warm and healthy homes, and opening doors to

economic opportunity.

Position: Capstone is seeking two, part-time organized and proactive Administrative Assistants to join our work in

serving the Lamoille Valley community. These positions have administrative support and front-desk responsibilities, and

are the first point of contact for participants, facilitating access to Capstones programs and resources. Ideal candidates

for these roles are efficient, detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are skilled in developing and

maintaining workplace and participant relationships.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years working in a

community-based organization or non-profit organization, or a relevant work experience that would provide the skills

and knowledge to be successful performing the work of the Administrative Assistant. Customer service experience and

experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe will be especially useful in this role.

Additional qualifications include:

Basic knowledge of community programs and resources.

Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully with diverse populations.

Understanding of Capstones anti-poverty mission and positive regard for people accessing services.

Ability to navigate complex issues and always maintain a polite and professional attitude and manner, with de-

escalation skills preferred.

Excellent organizational, administrative, and recordkeeping skills.

Flexibility to adapt to unplanned or unexpected circumstances or events.

Ability to reliably and consistently be present at work as scheduled.

Compensation & Benefits: These two part-time, regular positions each have a 20-hour/week schedule, and offer a

competitive hourly rate of pay at \$16.32-\$20.05 per hour. Part time positions are eligible for the Employee Assistance

Program and retirement plan benefits, and may be eligible for earned sick time.
