  • Get full and proper usage of existing systems and tools by GEO’s and Operations

  • Introduce new processes to our operations in our pursuit of relentless efficiency

  • Receive and roll out new operating systems and related tools – and provide meaningful feedback

  • Support the deployment and improvement of Global Business Operations strategy and efforts

  • Collaborate with other district, regional, and global resources to build consistency in all processes

  • Contribute to a global operational standard to create and protect the pursuit of a Best in Class operations

  • Take direction from Regional Manager, Business Operations – Process (RVP Region)

  • Coordinate with local management to identify opportunities to improve quality, service, trade compliance, and profitability through the pursuit of efficiency and consistency

  • Produce expected results locally in line with Corporate standards through improved processes, visibility to performance, data governance, and exception management

  • Identify and prioritize problem areas within business operations through communication with operational staff and via [observation, process mapping, timing studies, and other] process analysis methods

  • Provide training for every employee in the art and application of the Fundamentals of Business Process, through both teaching and mentoring

  • Monitor EXCEL standards and District Excellence metrics to and promote behaviors and processes to close the performance gap between districts

  • Be involved and have knowledge and understanding in customer and external ISO Audits

  • Lead and ensure progress on corrective and preventative actions within your district

  • Work alongside the District Business Solutions (if applicable) to deliver reporting and automation to the field

  • Present improved data and analytics for internal business opportunity and external client value

  • Support the deployment and improvement of Global Business Operations strategy and efforts

  • Collaborate with other districts, regional and global resources to build consistency in all processes

  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.

  • Support the end users on incidents logged in our online ticket system, help requests by phone or people walking in

  • Support basic level Windows server and Unix

  • Take care of hardware installation (PC, Server, Laptop, Printer

  • Support on network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)

  • Support the employees in the warehouse (scanners, tablets, automation)

  • Coach and train our end users on the usage of tools, applications and basic knowledge of IT (self-service)

  • Perform daily checks of backups/systems as well as making sure that these checks are administered in a portal

  • Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 for Infrastructure and Technology

  • Manage disaster Recovery and High Availability plan for systems

  • Manage IT budget and procurement

  • Support on solving issues with PCs, Printers, Laptops and Servers (Windows/Unix)

  • Safeguard and improve (cyber) security and access control where possible

  • Monitor system downtime and resource utilization

  • Contribute to a good and strong relationship with our local service providers and suppliers

Knowledge:

  • Global Logistics industry

  • Understanding of Expeditors systems and procedures

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university; or one to two years related IT experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the network policy, topology, LAN, IP Standards

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the IT EI processes

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate and concisely obtain positive results

  • Pro-active and strong organizational skills

  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Fluent in English
