Atlantic Health System Buyer in Morristown, New Jersey
• Reviews and resolves discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders. Properly communicates any product changes needed to the correct team members to avoid further issues.
• Facilitates issuance of product purchase orders ensuring the correct classifications are chosen. Generate/change-update/transmit pos/email revised pos – primarily for expensed products and service; except for Service contract and Blanket purchase orders.
• Reviews and verifies manual purchase order placement for customers, electronic capital requisitions, checks for accuracy, optimum delivery and pricing.
• Works with departments regarding non-catalog products to ensure that correct information is obtained from the vendor and included on the requisition and that item numbers are requested for non-cats that are frequently ordered.
• Ensures product standardization when applicable.
• Expedites orders to ensure on time delivery. Follows up to ensure product orders are completed to customer satisfaction by utilizing various tools, such as: Open PO reports, GHX notifications, Change Orders, Backorder notifications, customer direct contact.
• All emails and phone calls must be returned within the same day.
• Helps maintain Atlantic Hub data files and corrects or requests correction, of any identified issues between items, vendors, purchase orders, cost centers, requestors, or receipts
• Informs Contract Portfolio Managers of pending blanket or service contract orders.
• When needed gets updated status on orders for requestors, expedites if required
• Informs Contract Portfolio Managers of contract pricing issues.
• Acts as a customer advocate. Lead and partner with departments with site visits, phone, email or virtually, educate and influence process improvements to streamline work efforts.
• Trains Atlantic Hub application, educate Atlantic Hub inconsistencies.
• Educates shipping time frames.
• Corrects or requests correction, of any identified issues between items, vendors, purchase orders, cost centers, requestors, or receipts
• Backup coverage
Required:
Associates Degree or higher highly preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.
Relevant 3 years work experience overall preferably in a related field
Healthcare environment experience helpful.
