Software Engineering Senior Advisors (Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc., Morris Plains, NJ): Create highly dynamic web portals from scratch, utilizing tools, technologies, and languages within corporate technology formulary; Provide 24x7x365 support as necessary to ensure that our portals and products remain available and accessible, by providing on-call support outside of typical working hours and triaging and resolving production outages and issues that occur; Create new portals and products and grow capabilities of existing ones within a cloud environment; Collaborate with other product teams within ecosystem to effectively leverage existing capabilities, knowledge, and manpower to quickly drive new features to completion; Collaborate with other stakeholders (business/product owners, principal engineers, solution architects, database administrators, managers, etc.) to ensure roadblocks are removed, status is communicated, risks are managed, and objectives are met on time; Provide thought leadership, solutions, and guidance to members of the product team; Create high quality software artifacts including architecture/design diagrams, documentation, code, tests, monitoring, logging, etc.; Guide, coach, and support the efforts of the other members of the team by mentoring junior and mid-level software engineers and reviewing software artifacts and providing feedback to drive quality. Partial work from home benefit available.Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems Technologies, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Full-Stack Developer, or in a related occupation. Requires experience with: Healthcare domain knowledge: Experience with Pharmacy Benefits Management, Pharmacy Operations, management/operations of Medical Practices; Acting as a full stack developer with experience leading self and the efforts of other individuals on a product team within a complex corporate software ecosystem; Eliciting the needs and requirements of product owners and realizing that with appropriate software development artifacts, including system/software architecture/design diagrams, documentation, a fully functional multi-tier implementation (frontend + backend + data source), unit tests, monitoring, and analytics; Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices; Quality assurance practices to ensure products are deployed with minimal issues (i.e. developing/performing functional tests and performance tests); Leading the triage and resolution of production outages; Developing software within an agile development methodology (i.e. scrum); Mobile development technologies: SWIFT, Xcode, Interface Builder, Instruments, and Cocoa Touch; Web development technologies: HTML, JSP, JavaScript, React, Redux, GWT, Tomcat, WebSphere, and Glassfish; Backend application technologies: Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Config, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, Mule, Web Servers (SOAP, REST API), Hibernate, and JDBC; Relational and NoSQL databases: SQL, Oracle (store procedures, functions, triggers), and MongoDB; Cloud technologies: Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF); and Using: Linux, Junit, Python, Microservices, JIRA, Splunk, and Jenkins.Send resumes to: Michael.Popovich@evernorth.com
