Job DescriptionThe Finance Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Department by managing daily administrative and clerical tasks. Your responsibilities will include answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate parties, filing financial paperwork related to petty cash and credit cards, and inputting financial data into accounting systems or spreadsheets. You will also organize financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and statements, and assist with tasks like invoice processing, expense tracking, and accounts payable/receivable. Additional duties include scheduling meetings, taking notes, managing team communication, maintaining files for audits and compliance, and handling incoming and outgoing mail or packages. You will also operate office equipment, order and restock supplies, greet visitors, and ensure they are directed to the appropriate staff member. This position requires flexibility and a proactive attitude, as you will perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.Qualifications:Education/Experience:Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Proficiency in basic office software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).The ability to prioritize tasks.Must be able to work well with a team and build relationships within the organization.Internship hours are usually dictated by your educational institution.
