The Executive Operations/Student Services Specialist serves as the primary support for the Disability Resource Center, Transfer Student Services, and Advising. This is a full-time, 10 Month, in person position on the UMN Morris Campus. Job Duties Disability Resource Center (DRC) Support (40%) Facilitate administration of DRC exams including scheduling, management of exams, and proctoring both in-person and online exams, with additional emphasis on planning for finals week Manage confidential student data, and adhere to established confidentiality practices for return of student exams to faculty Assist Coordinator of DRC in identifying and hiring note takers for students requiring accommodations, manage distribution of notes to students, review notetaker performance, and initiate payment of student stipends Regularly update DRC student information system with testing data Assist DRC Coordinator with data collection, reporting, and other needs Assist DRC students with additional accommodation needs (testing scribe, wheelchair assistance, etc.) Transfer Student Services Support (25%) Assist and support the TSS director and staff in building transfer student support resources Assist in maintaining program information and establishing office systems and protocols Assist in supporting relationships with transfer students' home colleges and universities Coordinate TSS office processes, including scheduling, staff travel and communication Create a welcoming environment for students from diverse backgrounds Academic Advising Support (20%) Process major, minor, and adviser changes Prepare first year and senior advising surveys Assist with preparation for New Student Orientation activities including math and language placement testing processes Communicate with faculty, disciplines, and division offices to update major, pre-professional, and other advising materials for the SSC website, and UMN Morris catalog Student Success Center Office Support (15%) Provide administrative support to SSC staff and programs Assist visitors, answer questions, make appointments and referrals as needed, answer telephones, provide information, collect confidential forms, check students in for appointments, distribute mail, order office supplies, etc. Manage social media plan (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) to communicate programs, events, and create connections between students, staff, and faculty Other duties as assigned by SSC director and staff Qualifications Required Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and four years of related office experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience; Project planning, database, spreadsheet, and word processing experience Preferred Qualifications: Strong desire and interest to work with a diverse population with professionalism, confidentiality, appreciation, and patience Must demonstrate work experience and/or knowledge of Microsoft Off ce programs Experience with or knowledge of software programs including PeopleSoft, APLUS, APAS Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively Experience working with confidential data Experience in using interpersonal and problem-solving skills Exceptional customer service skills and professional manner Ability to adapt and be responsive to different people, situations, and requests and to prioritize differing patron requests and needs Pay and Benefits Pay Range: Hourly rate $23.15 Time Appointment: 100%, 10 Month Appointment Position Type: Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff Please visit the Office of Human Resources website for more information regarding benefit eligibility.
