Westmor Industries Paint Prep Technician in Morris, Minnesota
Westmor is looking for a meticulous Paint Prep Technician to join our night shift team. You will be responsible for prepping surfaces for painting, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the work area remains organized. Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Utilize an air sander for sanding, apply sand poly and primer, confirm removal of spatter and slag, and apply filler as needed.
- Measurement and Documentation: Use measurement devices to track and record dry mill thickness before and after sanding, and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily maintenance on paint prep equipment, clean the paint booth and lights, change filters, and keep the paint prep area tidy.
- Safety and Operation: Mask off areas not to be painted, safely operate tuggers, lifts, and other machinery, and always wear the appropriate safety gear.
- Coordination and Organization: Manage workflow and maintain a well-organized, clean paint prep area.
Shift: 4:30pm to 5:00am, Monday through Thursday Night Shift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour Employee Benefits
