West Virginia University Teaching Assistant Professor of GeneralBusiness - John Chambers College of Busi in Morgantown, West Virginia

Description The Department of General Business in the John Chambers College of Business & Economics, West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, WV, is seeking qualified applicants for a teaching assistant professor within the area of General Business, beginning in Fall 2024. The position will be full-time (1.00) FTE) non-tenure track 9-month appointment. The primary areas of responsibility are teaching (70%), service (20%) and a modest research workload (10%). The teaching load will be seven courses over the academic year. These courses would be across undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face, online, or hybrid). Service responsibilities include possible service to the Kendrick Center for an Ethical Economy, department, college, and university. Research responsibilities involve publishing in peer reviewed journals (2-3 manuscripts over a five-year period) so that the candidate can be qualified as "Scholarly Academic" by AACSB. WVU is a State comprehensive Land Grant University with a main campus enrollment of approximately 29,000 and an R1 Carnegie Classification, the highest research activity level for doctoral universities. Qualifications Candidates must have successfully completed their PhD by August 2024, in a business-related field, such as but not limited to: Philosophy, Politics, Ethics, Economics and Public Philosophy. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The candidate's teaching experience must be in the Philosophy, Politics, Ethics, Economics and Public Philosophy disciplines.
