Leads physical therapy staff conducting medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Associate degree in Physical Therapy OR Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. 2. Current or temporary licensure in the state of West Virginia, or applicable state where services will be performed. Permanent licensure obtained within 90 days of employment. 3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date. EXPERIENCE: 1. Three (3) years of experience in the setting of the open position (acute care, outpatient, SNF, HH).

- Provides coordinated and comprehensive patient care consistent with professional license parameters including, as appropriate, assessment, expected outcomes, rehabilitation interventions and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team approach.
- In accordance with Scope of Practice, applies research and proven techniques to examine, diagnose, and then prevent or treat conditions that limit the body's ability to move and function in daily life as monitored by supervision, by documentation review, and consultation with referring provider.
- Carries out oversight responsibilities to ensure supervision of support staff, students, and volunteers.
- Participates in meeting the goals and objectives of the work unit and department to ensure that the department contributes to the attainment of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Supervision of physical therapy students and volunteers. Will provide supervision of staff in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Submits accurate charges for services rendered for patients, according to departmental policies and procedures utilizing the billing system via the patient's EMR.
- Assists with orientation and in-service training for certified department staff members, participates in guidance and educational programs both within the department and community.
- Delegates work assignments and provides support to staff level therapists.
- Serves as a point person on assigned Team(s) to respond to calls and pages. Attends patient rounds and serves as a communication liaison with medical teams, care management, nursing and other patient care providers.
