Responsible for daily operations of Radiation Oncology. Responsibilities include personnel selection, mentoring, counseling, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, physician relations, interdepartmental and intradepartmental activities including, but not limited to, process improvement, customer relations, service quality, patient safety, and fiscal control. Assists the Director with the development of operating and capital budgets, policies and procedures, and department goals. Provides direct patient care when required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's degree 2. Currently registered as an RT(T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists 3. WV State License with WV Board of Radiologic Technologists EXPERIENCE: 1. Five (5) years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business administration or related field. 2. Three (3) years of management experience 3. Eight (8) years of experience as a Radiation Therapist 3. Experience with HDR, IMRT, IGRT, and SBRT

- Plans, organizes, and directs the daily technical operations of the Radiation Oncology department. Oversees the development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes for department operation. Reviews department performance, effects changes as needed to improve services and assures compliance with The Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
- Selects, orients, and assigns radiation oncology staff. Develops standards of performance and monitors and supervises staff actions; performs annual performance evaluations, as well as implements any required disciplinary actions. Manages time and attendance.
- Develops work goals for the department consistent with institutional and departmental goals and policy.
- Ensures the most effective operation of the department through program development, process improvement and coordination of processes across functions
- Assists the Director in defining and achieving financial targets for the department, consistent with the departmental financial plan
