West Virginia Employer Maintenance Worker in Morgantown, West Virginia

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below. High School Graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid WV Drivers License. Must have reliable transportation to commute between operated facilities. Must be able to read and comprehend easy to moderately complex instructions. Must have demonstrated basic proficiency in the use of tools and materials of skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical, as evidenced by previous work history or vocational training. Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 150 pounds and work in adverse conditions a small percentage of the time. Ability to work alone on assignments and bring them to completion. Ability to comply with Clients Rights. Ability to comply with company and Division departmental safety procedures. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: General grounds maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming weeds, snow removal, routine care and upkeep of grounds maintenance equipment. General building upkeep and general carpentry repairs or renovations such as molding replacement and other necessary structural repairs or renovations. Routine repairs and upkeep of plumbing fixtures, including replacement and repair of bath and kitchen fixtures, water heaters and other plumbing structures. Interior and exterior painting and staining based on schedules to be determined by Regional Manager of Maintenance and Transportation. Repair and/or renovation of drywall, including fine finishing work and preparation for painting or paper. Light electrical work, such as outlet, ballast and light fixtures and/or installation and unit specific upgrades. General building maintenance and repairs at all locations owned or leased by company. Travel to all locations owned or leased by company to perform essential duties. Assist in moving and relocating furniture at all locations owned by company and/or moving furniture or other items to and from storage facilities and alternate locations. Light duty vehicle maintenance such as routine fluid and filter changes (engine oil, transmission fluids, and appropriate filters;) this would include taking vehicles to the shop for repairs and documentation of this into vehicle logbooks. General maintenance and repair of gas furnaces and air-conditioning units. Monitors, maintains and uses appropriately, all equipment and supplies. Supports and helps in the training of new employees. Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or ability to be trained. Attends in-service trainings and mandated meetings as assigned. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
