The Certification Specialist will support our Clinical Services and is primarily in charge of conducting inspections and assessments, ensuring operations and procedures comply with certification guidelines and requirements. Although their responsibilities and operational steps may vary based on the roles of the organization. This consists of reviewing certification applications and system plans, arranging schedules and tests, organizing orientations, providing advice or guidance to new members of the workforce, and implementing strategies. Moreover, to perform administrative support tasks such as processing the necessary documents, facilitating activities, and coordinating with internal and external parties. The incumbent shall meet and exceed clinical and organizational standards; maintaining clinical operational readiness, achieving operational safety; preserving assets and profitability; creating a positive public image; leading as a member of management to achieve mission and objectives of Monongalia EMS.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. Valid Driver's License 3. Current NRP or NREMT Certification, in coordination with proper State Licensure 4. BLS Certification 5. NIMS (100,200, 700, 800) EXPERIENCE: 1. Two (2) years of experience as a Healthcare Provider. 2. One (1) year of experience in healthcare instruction and/or certification processing. 3. One (1) year of direct/indirect involvement in Emergency Medical Services.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, EMS, Emergency Management, Public Health or another related field. 2. Instructor Credentials in EMS related ancillary courses (Not an inclusive list): * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) * International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) * Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers (PEPP) * National Safety Program 3. Nationally Certified EMS Educator (NCEE). EXPERIENCE: 1. Five (5) years as a Healthcare Educator. 2. Five (5) years of course and certification coordination. 3. Two (2) years direct/indirect involvement in Emergency Medical Services.
