Morehead State University Virtual Admissions Counselor in Morehead, Kentucky
Enrollment Services at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Virtual Admissions Counselor. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2024.Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. Morehead State University delivers a strong and affordable education for friendly, ambitious students who thrive in a student-focused learning environment defined by small class sizes and faculty committed to teaching and student success.RESPONSIBILITIES: The Virtual Admissions Counselor represents Morehead State University by utilizing electronic communication tools to provide accurate and timely information to prospective students and parents. The Virtual Admissions Counselor is responsible for the development and implementation of a virtual recruiting strategy to provide information about MSU, the academic programs, the admissions and financial aid processes, and recruitment events. The counselor will also represent the University at appropriate college fairs and events and meet with students and families as needed to provide excellent customer service. This position represents the University and encourages qualified prospective students to apply and enroll.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, 2 years of experience in related fields such as web pages, chat, multimedia, online communities, email lists, instant messaging and other emerging electronic communication technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment required. Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others. Experience in computer applications, with the ability to generate and provide detailed reports on recruitment activities. A valid driver’s license is required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree preferred. Admissions, student services, public relations, marketing or related background preferred.SPONSORSHIP: This position is not budgeted for Visa Sponsorship.
