Scheduling Clerk- PRN
The scheduling clerk provides exceptional customerservice while accurately scheduling patients throughout the hospital system, obtaining correct demographic information. Obtains information to verify insurance and demographics. This person will be responsible for proficiently utilizes the computer system to access patient information, email and other required systems.
Essential Functions
Schedule patients for out-patient diagnostic testing
Complete test requests from physicians in a timely and courteous manner
Education/ Experience
High school diploma or equivalent education
Minimum of 1 year hospital/medical office experience required
A good understanding of medical terminology required
Knowledge of computers and other standard office equipment required
Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required
Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute required
Licenses/Certifications
- CPI required within 90 days of hire
