Lowe's Relief Fund Administrative Assistant in Mooresville, North Carolina

Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to aid with the Lowes Employee Relief Fund ("LERF") grant process. Lowes Employee Relief Fund is a non-profit organization that provides funds for unforeseen hardships for current and prior Lowes employees. This role uses the following programs: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Workday, and Wizehive. The programs are used to aid in the application process and communicate requirements to the applicants.

What you will do

  • Monitors the LERF mailbox for questions from Lowe's employees applying for hardship assistance. This includes store personnel with questions and requesting/receiving additional documentation for incomplete applications.

  • Reviews Lowes Employee Relief applications to ensure they have proper documentation (utilizing the Lowe's Employee Relief Fund ("LERF") guidelines and bylaws) and requests/receives additional documentation for incomplete applications.

  • Tracks and follows up on incomplete applications from Lowe's employees.

  • Reviews applicant profiles to determine eligibility for the LERF Grants and ensure accuracy of personal data in the event the employee is awarded a LERF grant.

  • Ensures completed applications are provided to the LERF voting committee.

  • Mails out Lowes Employee Relief checks to the awarded Lowe's employees.

  • Manages monthly Lowes Employee Relief auction payments received from Lowe's US employees who bid/win auction items from the periodic LERF auctions.

  • Individual Contributor

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or GED General Education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 Years Up to 1 Year Administrative work or involvement in charity foundation

  • Strong writing, editing, and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse clientele and senior management

  • Strong personal-initiative and self-management (initiative/sense of urgency)

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
