Novant Health Clinical Practice Advisor in Mooresville, North Carolina
Job Summary
* Current LPN licensure in appropriate state, required.*
This position is hybrid. The majority of the time would be working from home, however this team member would be required to go into the office as needed and some travel is required.
Novant Health is seeking a Clinical Practice Advisor. This position serves as a clinical advisor to independent MSO clients for clinical operations optimization. Responsibilities include compiling and utilizing clinical/quality data reports to identify areas of care gaps and provides recommendations to these clients in regards to workflows and clinical documentation. Provides ongoing support and consultation with clinic administrators, providers, directors, managers and others. Provides just-in-time feedback and formal education as needed. Facilitates the development and implementation of action plans for clinical process and practice improvements. Partners with the clients clinical team to support clinical improvement initiatives. Participates in and supports preparation for value based program participation (i.e., NCQA-PCMH certification, and payor specific initiatives). Implements continuous improvement action plans to transform clinical care in partnership with practice managers/clinicians to satisfy inclusion in government programs (i.e. MACRA/MIPS, ACOs, etc.). Identifies the need for and assists with configuration and implementation of Athena EMR system and clinical best practices with written policy and procedures. Consults with practices to improve clinical workflows. Partners with AthenaHealth implementation team to support/design EMR functionality and workflows with clinic initiatives for process improvement. Provides clinical education and training to MSO clients and other independent practices regarding workflows/clinical optimization. Performs initial and follow up visits to MSO client practices to perform clinical practice assessments, identifying risk and opportunities for improvement. Consults with practices on developing workflows to foster best practices and to monitor ongoing compliance. Provides support for NHE initiatives with meaningful reports and detailed practice profiles based on identified geographic locations.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. In a healthcare/clinical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in a physician practice as an LPN/Clinical lead, required. Minimum two years' experience in project management and/or EMR clinical implementation, clinical data collection and analysis, quality assessment and improvement processes, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current LPN licensure in appropriate state, required. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality CPHQ, preferred.
Additional Skills (required): Demonstrate interpersonal capability including: strong leadership, deep organizational skills, critical thinking, a professional attitude, and team focus. Proven ability to work with partners of all types to establish solid, positive working relationships. Excellent informal communication skills as well as formal oral and written communication ability. Ability to work comfortably and successfully with business partners and vendors. Expertise in Microsoft Office Products. Must be fluent in Excel and pivot charts, as well as PowerPoint, to create reports and present data. Understanding of personal computers. Ability to present data in a concise manner. Good knowledge of procedure codes. Good understanding of patient identification processes and components in patient management. Good knowledge of nursing documentation practices and resource tools. Acute awareness of confidentiality of information collected and presented. Knowledge of clinic operations and a strong understanding of business processes.
