Lockheed Martin Typhon Program Technical Director (HYBRID TELEWORK) in Moorestown, New Jersey

Description: This position is for the Technical Director of the Typhon Mid-Range Capability (MRC) Program within the Mission Systems & Weapons (MSW) Next Generation Launchers Chief Engineering organization. The Typhon MRC TD will be responsible for ensuring that the MRC system architecture meets the requirements and provides oversight to the engineering team to ensure successful execution of the technical milestones. The Typhon MRC TD will develop modifications to existing products to meet unique customer needs and leads the technical work products developed by the larger engineering team, supporting design reviews and integration and test activities as needed. The Typhon MRC TD will act as the technical chair for design and production reviews, working groups, configuration control boards, and failure review boards. The selected candidate will work directly with the Mission Systems & Weapons (MSW) Chief Engineers, Program Managers, Engineering & Technology, Production and the cross-functional program teams.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline

- Demonstrated competence in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams.

- Strong understanding of product development processes.

- Demonstrated proficiency in earned value, schedule, cost, and risk management techniques.

- Experience with cost estimating and proposal development.

- Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level, requires US citizenship

Desired Skills:

- The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management levels and customers.

- We prefer the candidate have a strong understanding of one or more of the following:

o Military product development and customer experience including Department of Defense, Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, US Army and/or Marines

o Knowledge of Digital Transformation (DX) principles and ability to drive implementation of improvements.

o Knowledge of Vertical Launching Systems, Expeditionary Launching System, and Advanced Launcher Products.

o Knowledge of Command and Control Systems, including weapons control systems and interfaces.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
