About the opportunity:

Working within Jacobs decommissioning business unit you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging nuclear decommissioning projects for a wide range of clients, gaining experience in the design and development of innovative engineering solutions. You will have the chance to work alongside experienced engineers, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills which will enable you to develop and progress your career.

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Planner who is keen to cement our existing expertise in delivering projects to our key clients and driving the growth of our business in this sector.

Some of your responsibilities:

  • To produce and develop project schedules from project defined scope

  • To Resource and cost load the schedules in line with the project estimate

  • Responsibility for project schedule baseline

  • To produce BCWS ‘Budget Cost of Work Scheduled’ information from the project schedule

  • To provide project resource utilisation requirements from the project schedule to assist the project delivery timescales

  • To produce project schedule forecasts, advising the project team in areas of critical path analysis, risk, slippage to dates and milestone delivery and overall project completion

  • To supply any required information to support the Project Manager in preparation of any monthly status reports as directed

  • To lead, advise and assist planning engineers and project controls apprentices where required

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Several years of experience in Project Planning / Scheduling

  • An Engineering / Project Management Qualification

  • A proven track record of successful delivery within the planning function using planning tools such as Primavera

  • Experienced in planning from design through to construction & site works.

  • Experience in producing and managing programmes in accordance with the NEC contract.
