DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer/Associate Intern who, under direct supervision of Department Manager, will apply cybersecurity protection to designs and preparing preliminary design for senior designer's approval.
- Assists in the design of protecting facility-related control systems within an organizations computer system and network from cyber threats.
- Assists engineers and designers by monitoring all facility-related control systems within an organization to direct appropriate project teams members to establish and enforcing security protocols and best practices during design.
- Assist in the design by creating solutions to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches with architecture topology diagrams and specifications.
- Provides scopes of work, budgetary estimates, and design coordination with multiple engineering disciplines, and project architectural team
- Address in design a given organization potential impact on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of each facility-related control system if an incident occurs with the system being compromised or damaged.
- Provide detail analysis documentation on the organization's risk assessment, identifying the vulnerabilities and security measures for each facility related controls system.
- Design experience covers several verticals including, but not limited to, higher-education, healthcare, government and commercial.
- Develops construction specifications and construction drawings; field inspections, and witnesses field acceptance testing; facilitates contractor coordination; and reviews contract close-out documentation.
- Occasional to moderate travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering at an accredited university or college - Interest in Cybersecurity engineering systems - Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, AGi32, Visual, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is highly preferred - Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role - Interest in employment with Michael Baker International post-graduation at its Moon Township, PA office
Compensation The hourly range for this position is $18.00-24.00 per hour.
